Central Catering & Accommodation Manager

About the role

The Central Catering & Accommodation Services (CCAS) Manager will lead the department, overseeing all catering and accommodation operations for the university. The role ensures high standards of service, food quality, hygiene, and compliance while managing resources efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and ensure smooth operation of the Central Catering and Accommodation Services Department.
• Develop, implement, and monitor departmental policies, strategic plans, and operational work plans aligned with institutional objectives.
• Maintain high standards of service delivery, food quality, hygiene, cleanliness, and customer care across catering and accommodation services.
• Supervise, manage, and maintain discipline among departmental staff, promoting professionalism and teamwork.
• Oversee human‑resource functions, including staff performance management, welfare, and capacity development.
• Prepare, manage, and control the departmental budget, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
• Oversee procurement of food supplies and other departmental requirements in compliance with procurement policies.
• Advise University Management on catering, accommodation, and hospitality matters to support informed decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene standards, and relevant statutory and institutional regulations.

Required profile

• Master’s Degree in Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Hospitality Management or related field, or a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a comparable position at a recognized academic institution and computer literacy.
