Sales & Marketing Head – Edible Oils & Fats

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Sales & Marketing Head to lead our Edible Oils & Fats portfolio. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive commercial strategy, brand growth and market penetration across Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the commercial strategy for the Oils & Fats category, own P&L and align forecasts with Production, Supply Chain and Finance.
• Lead national sales teams and regional heads, optimise route‑to‑market models and monitor performance through KPIs and dashboards.
• Manage brand portfolios such as Kimbo, Elianto and Gold Band, creating integrated marketing plans and partnering with R&D for new product opportunities.
• Oversee trade marketing programmes, channel activation and trade‑spend efficiency.
• Champion digital enablement by promoting BI tools, CRM systems and e‑commerce initiatives.
• Develop and coach a large commercial team, fostering a culture of accountability and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field; MBA or advanced qualification preferred.
• 12–15 years of FMCG commercial leadership experience, including at least 5 years managing a major category.
