Senior Specialist – Public Affairs & Communications

About the role

Novonesis is seeking a Senior Specialist in Public Affairs & Communications for Sub‑Saharan Africa. You will shape policy advocacy, build strategic partnerships and enable market access for our biolsolution technologies across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business enablement initiatives by identifying new opportunities and removing regulatory barriers for Novonesis products in Africa.
• Monitor, map and report on public policy and regulatory developments, providing strategic insights to commercial teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor to regional and global leadership, tracking emerging trends, competition and customer needs.
• Represent Novonesis at industry events, conferences and trade missions.
• Collaborate with Public Affairs, Regulatory and Business units to develop market‑access policy inputs and advocacy materials.
• Liaise with key influencers, aid agencies and government offices to promote technology adoption.
• Coordinate research projects, roundtables and government engagements, delivering concise analysis to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in government affairs, public relations and policy advocacy within African markets.
• Strong strategic leadership experience, reporting to senior management and influencing cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with public and private partners.
• Demonstrated ability to translate policy insights into commercial opportunities.
