Technical Sales Manager – Healthcare (IVD) in Nairobi

About the role

Our client, a leading healthcare solutions provider in Nairobi, is seeking a commercially driven Technical Sales Manager to grow its In‑Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) and laboratory business. The role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to develop new customers and strengthen relationships with hospitals and laboratories.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new customers, market segments and business opportunities for IVD and laboratory products.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and customer training tailored to laboratory needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with laboratories, hospitals and key decision‑makers.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop IVD sales strategies and represent the company at exhibitions and conferences.
• Monitor customer needs, competitor activity and emerging laboratory requirements, providing market intelligence to management.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets while managing the sales pipeline to closure.
• Prepare regular sales reports and maintain accurate records of quotations, opportunities and engagements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences.
• Registration with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in IVD sales, preferably at a senior sales level.
• Proven track record of growing IVD and laboratory product sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
