Water Supply Technician II – Manda Bay

About the role

The Water Supply Technician II operates water purification equipment to deliver safe, potable water at the Manda Bay site. The role includes routine maintenance, chemical dosing, and quality testing to ensure compliance with water standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate water purification equipment and control pumps and valves to maintain production levels.
• Administer chemicals for disinfection, sterilisation, deodorisation and clarification of untreated water.
• Regulate water flow through filter beds, clean tanks and filter beds, and remove contaminants.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance and conduct water quality tests on samples.
• Communicate project status, issues and requirements with site management and functional leaders.
• Follow established safety procedures and may provide data to Automated Information Systems (AIS).

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum two (2) years of related experience in water supply operations.
• Certification as a water purification specialist.
• Ability to read, write and speak English at an intermediate level.
• Authorization to work in Kenya.
