Accountant – Full‑time position in Nairobi

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Nairobi. The role involves managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, prepare balance sheets, income statements and cash‑flow reports in line with accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable to guarantee timely payments and collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow and reconcile general ledger discrepancies.
• Prepare and file tax returns while staying updated on relevant regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and provide documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred.
• 1–4 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and tax regulations.
• High attention to detail and solid problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Experience using SAP.
• Familiarity with Odoo accounting modules.
