Accounting Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join a global financial services leader on a contract basis. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while supporting accurate financial operations and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and review financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash‑flow reports.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and assist with tax filings.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities on schedule.
• Support audit processes by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver timely and accurate financial information.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and team members.
• Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
