Adjunct Professor, Fire Protection Technology

About the role

The Adjunct Professor will design and deliver the FIRS-1203 Firefighter Agility and Fitness Preparation course to a diverse student body. This position supports ACC’s mission of equitable access and student success through innovative, culturally responsive teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and teach Fire Protection Technology and Firefighter Agility and Fitness Preparation courses using varied instructional strategies.
• Evaluate student progress, provide clear and timely feedback aligned with program learning outcomes.
• Offer mentoring and teaching services without discrimination based on protected categories.
• Maintain current knowledge in fire protection through professional development activities.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned by the department.
