Africa Portfolio & Partnerships Consultant

About the role

Endless Health is looking for an experienced Africa Portfolio & Partnerships Consultant to expand and manage its health innovation portfolio across the continent. The role will combine grantee sourcing, portfolio oversight, and strategic partnership development to accelerate digital health and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess high‑potential health organisations, social enterprises and innovators in priority African markets, building a qualified pipeline aligned with Endless Health’s portfolio priorities.
• Leverage networks with regional health bodies, incubators, ministries and peer funders to surface organisations that are not reachable through standard channels.
• Conduct initial due diligence on leadership, programmatic fit, impact evidence and funding readiness, and present structured recommendations.
• Map the funding landscape to uncover co‑funding and syndication opportunities with regional funders and multilaterals.
• Run monthly check‑ins with grantees, track milestones, flag risks and report status to the Grants Operations Lead and Director of Health Programs.
• Plan and execute site visits, produce trip reports, risk assessments and opportunity maps within ten working days.
• Provide coaching, introductions and fundraising support to help grantees expand impact and secure follow‑on funding.
• Represent Endless Health at flagship events such as the Africa HealthTech Summit and organise targeted convenings on portfolio priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health‑sector partnership development, grant management or portfolio oversight, preferably in African contexts.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct due diligence and synthesize findings into clear recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities, capable of representing the organization at high‑profile events.
• Ability to travel across Africa for site visits and events.
