Agriculture and Agribusiness Consultant Trainer

About the role

In-depth Research Institute (IRES) is seeking agriculture and agribusiness consultant trainers across Kenya. Experienced agricultural professionals and subject-matter experts are invited to support professional training, technical advisory services and capacity-building assignments. Candidates are engaged as external consultant trainers on a need basis, with scope, duration and professional fees discussed during engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions and workshops
• Develop curricula
• Provide technical advisory services and consultancy work

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Food Science or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the area of specialisation
• Demonstrated technical expertise and practical experience in the relevant agricultural field
• Experience delivering professional training, consultancy or technical advisory services
• Experience working with farmers, agribusinesses, government institutions, NGOs or development partners is an added advantage; ToT certification is desirable

Required skills

• Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills
• Report-writing skills
