Agro Expert – Potatoes (Supply Chain)

About the role

We are looking for an Agro Expert – Potatoes to lead the farm‑to‑factory supply chain for our crisps production. The role combines agronomic expertise with supply‑chain management to ensure a sustainable, high‑quality potato supply that meets strict factory specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a network of contract farmers and aggregators to secure a reliable potato supply.
• Identify and promote potato varieties with high dry matter and low sugar content suitable for premium crisps.
• Conduct field assessments and quality checks to verify size, moisture, and skin quality against factory standards.
• Collaborate with procurement, quality assurance, and production teams to align agricultural schedules with manufacturing needs.
• Monitor production trends, farmer performance and market dynamics to mitigate supply‑chain risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in agronomy or agricultural supply‑chain roles.
• Deep knowledge of potato agronomy, post‑harvest handling and crisps‑grade raw material requirements.
• Strong understanding of crop quality standards, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and traceability systems.
• Willingness to travel frequently to farming areas and manage field operations.
