Animal Health Technician III – Nairobi

About the role

Animal Health Technician III assists in clinical procedures and vaccination campaigns for the Kenya Veterinary Board. The full‑time position is based in Nairobi, requires a certified animal health qualification and registration with the Board, and the technician works under the guidance of a senior officer.

Key responsibilities

• Support clinical procedures and vaccination campaigns in the field.
• Receive, index, and process registration and licensing forms from applicants.
• Verify required documentation and capture applicant information into the system.
• Assist with document management, including electronic filing and record keeping.
• Respond to day‑to‑day enquiries regarding registration and licensing of veterinary practices.
• Work under the guidance of a senior officer and may be deployed in functional areas such as registration and licensing.

Required profile

• Certificate in Animal Health, Animal Health and Production, Animal Health and Range Management, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Registered with the Kenya Veterinary Board and in good standing.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
