Area Business Manager – North Eastern Kenya

About the role

The Area Business Manager will lead d.light’s sales operations in North Eastern Kenya, ensuring product visibility, stock availability, and achievement of sales targets across the territory.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain visibility and availability of d.light products in the assigned territory.
• Provide regular market intelligence reports and feedback on competition.
• Execute sales activities on schedule and meet defined performance metrics (sales, merchandising, outlet growth, customer satisfaction, stock levels, journey planning).
• Recruit and qualify new outlets according to company criteria.
• Manage and coordinate Territory Business Executives (TBEs) within the area.
• Plan efficient travel routes for self and TBEs to optimise time and cost.
• Maintain strong relationships with outlets to ensure continuous stock supply.
• Oversee point‑of‑sale material stock and in‑store merchandising compliance.
• Train outlet owners/managers on product features, sales tools, POS materials, and warranty handling.
• Provide feedback on execution plans to the Regional Business Manager and coordinate regional outlet activities.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Territory Sales Manager or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).
• 4‑5 years of sales experience, preferably in a fast‑growth environment.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building partnerships.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Willingness to spend an average of four days per week in the field.
• Valid Kenya driving licence.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, discretion, and confidentiality.
