Assistant Accountant – Manage Financial Transactions and Compliance

About the role

Comply Industries Limited is looking for a detail‑oriented Assistant Accountant to handle day‑to‑day financial transactions, maintain the general ledger, and ensure statutory compliance in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Process, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate data entry in the accounting system.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, recording company expenses and incoming payments.
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions (NHIF, NSSF, PAYE).
• Prepare and submit statutory tax returns (VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax) in line with KRA regulations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and assist with financial planning and forecasting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting with strong knowledge of Kenyan financial and tax regulations.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical abilities and ability to meet statutory submission deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Experience with iTax for tax return filings.
• Strong data‑entry and general‑ledger reconciliation skills.
