Assistant Residential Manager – Oneonta Region

About the role

The Assistant Residential Manager supports the Residential Manager in creating a safe, supportive, and serene living environment for adults with developmental disabilities. Working on‑site in the Oneonta region, you will mentor staff, coordinate resident activities, and ensure high‑quality direct care.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise Director Support Professionals alongside the Residential Manager.
• Coordinate daily resident planning, weekly meetings, and trip logistics.
• Mentor new hires during their first six months.
• Oversee accurate shift documentation and facilitate information transfer between shifts.
• Maintain active programming, daily planners, goals, and service documentation for each resident.
• Conduct medication audits, room checks, prescription orders, MAR checks, and data entry.
• Provide direct care, including medication administration, and assist with medical appointments.
• Participate in required training, staff development, and on‑call oversight.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred; required for Golisano Program).
• Minimum two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Completion of Springbrook New Manager Orientation and Leadership Training Program.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and meet physical demands (lift 50 lb independently).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate Springbrook vehicles.

Required skills
