Assistant Storekeeper for IRS Operations

About the role

The Assistant Storekeeper will support the management of indoor residual spraying (IRS) commodities in temporary stores across Busia and Siaya counties, Kenya. Working under the Warehouse Manager, the role ensures accurate receipt, storage, labeling and tracking of malaria vector control and HIV/AIDS service delivery supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and store IRS items delivered from the central warehouse, maintaining up‑to‑date inventory records.
• Monitor stock levels, place replenishment orders and coordinate with storekeepers and the warehouse team.
• Conduct regular stock takes and audits, report discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Enforce safety procedures for handling hazardous materials and maintain a secure store environment to prevent theft or damage.
• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring proper labeling, storage conditions and timely distribution of commodities to field sites.

Required profile

• Certificate level education in Purchasing, Supply Chain or Warehouse Management.
• 3‑6 months of relevant experience in store or inventory management.
• Ability to work onsite in multiple sub‑county locations within Busia and Siaya.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and security protocols.
