About the role
Synnefa, an innovative ag‑tech startup, is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth of its Smart Solar Dryers, smart greenhouses, and FarmCloud solutions. The role will focus on building enterprise, cooperative, and institutional partnerships while managing the full sales cycle from pipeline generation to contract collection.
Key responsibilities
- Own enterprise revenue end‑to‑end, managing pipeline, proposals, contracts, and collections for enterprise, cooperative, and institutional deals.
- Structure and close high‑value deals, leading commercial negotiations on pricing, financing, payment schedules, and margin guarantees.
- Design and run the enterprise go‑to‑market strategy, prioritising segments, mapping buyer journeys, and creating repeatable sales playbooks.
- Coordinate cross‑functional handoffs, ensuring technical, production, field operations, and finance teams sign off on feasibility, costing, and collection readiness before deal signing.
- Build commercial systems and metrics, establishing pipeline hygiene, conversion KPIs, sales cycle stages, and dashboards; drive weekly and monthly commercial cadence.
- Anchor financing and partner commercialisation by negotiating with banks, MFIs, and financiers for end‑user financing and managing strategic commercial relationships.
- Act as the primary commercial voice of the customer, providing structured market feedback into product, pricing, and delivery decisions while protecting margin and go‑to‑market fit.
