Business Development Manager – BFSI (Kenya Market)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional with 10–20 years of experience in the BFSI technology and solutions space. The role focuses on driving new business, building strategic relationships with banks and financial institutions, and delivering revenue growth across the Kenya market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies for the Kenya BFSI market.
• Identify and acquire new customers across banks, financial institutions, lenders, fintechs, and insurance companies.
• Drive the complete sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closure.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with CXO‑level and senior decision‑makers.
• Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline and achieve revenue targets.
• Lead RFP/RFI responses, proposals, presentations, commercial negotiations, and contract closures.
• Collaborate with Product, Presales, Delivery, and Marketing teams to develop customer‑specific solutions.
• Track market trends, customer requirements, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in BFSI.
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.

Required profile

• 10–20 years of Business Development / Enterprise Sales experience in the BFSI sector.
• Proven track record selling technology products, platforms, or solutions to banks, insurance companies, lenders, fintechs, or other financial institutions.
• Strong new‑business acquisition and hunter experience in Kenya or East Africa.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large‑value enterprise deals and negotiate contracts.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel within Kenya and across the region as required.
