Business Development Manager – Broker Channel

About the role

The Business Development Manager – Broker Channel will drive the implementation of the sales strategy for the corporate market segment through broker partners, ensuring the department meets its growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in formulating and executing the sales strategy aligned with overall business growth.
• Identify broker opportunities, negotiate and close deals within quality guidelines to increase market share.
• Maintain and grow existing corporate client relationships, driving cross‑selling and new business acquisition.
• Recruit, manage and motivate broker partners to generate new business and upsell existing accounts.
• Provide accurate quotations for all product lines and ensure timely delivery to brokers and prospects.
• Conduct continuous product training for brokers to uphold product knowledge and professionalism.
• Manage a portfolio of strategic corporate clients to maximise revenue.
• Develop market intelligence, competitor analysis and industry trend reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams, marketing and other managers to create sales opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Marketing or a related business discipline.
• Diploma in Insurance (ACII or AIIK) and membership of CII or IIK.
• At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
