Business Development & Operations Coordinator (Remote, 6‑month consultancy)

About the role

The Business Development & Operations Coordinator will support the growth and day‑to‑day functioning of the AGIP coalition. Working remotely from Kenya, the role blends resource mobilisation with core secretariat coordination to advance AGIP’s 2025‑2027 strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify potential funders, partners and strategic opportunities.
• Track funding leads, maintain fundraising pipelines and follow up on engagement opportunities.
• Draft pitch materials, concept notes and proposals, coordinating inputs from coalition members.
• Support budget development for funding proposals.
• Provide grant‑management assistance, including contract administration, deadline tracking and reporting milestones.
• Coordinate service contracts, terms of reference and invoicing with external providers.
• Assist with payments to Youth Advisors and partner organisations.
• Schedule and organise meetings, workshops and events, preparing and circulating materials.
• Track actions and decisions from meetings and maintain organized records.
• Offer general administrative support to ensure efficient workflow within the Secretariat.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and administrative abilities with capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in business development and fundraising within a non‑profit or social‑impact context.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners, funders and coalition members.
• Familiarity with grant‑management processes and contract administration.
• Excellent written communication skills for proposal drafting and stakeholder correspondence.
