Care Assessor – Medical Claims & Patient Visits

About the role
The Care Assessor evaluates medical claims, conducts patient visits and manages health authorizations for APA Life Assurance. The role requires a nursing, clinical medicine or health diploma and at least four years of clinical experience.
Key responsibilities
- Review and issue pre‑authorizations for medical procedures.
- Handle 24‑hour call centre queries from clients, brokers and clinicians.
- Conduct hospital visits to assess patient care throughout the continuum of care.
- Report adverse occurrences and ensure compliance with quality patient care standards.
- Coordinate step‑down management and referrals for clients with chronic diseases.
- Participate in health talks, wellness camps and corporate CSR activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant health or clinical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant clinical experience.
