Casual Waiter/Waitress – Immediate Start

About the role

Sawari Hospitality Solutions is looking for enthusiastic casual waiters and waitresses to support restaurants, hotels and catering companies across Nairobi. You will receive basic training and be placed on short‑term contracts, giving you the chance to showcase your abilities to future hospitality employers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the dining area by cleaning and arranging tables before service.
• Seat guests according to their preferences.
• Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages promptly.
• Check on diners during the meal to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues.
• Clear dirty cutlery and crockery after guests finish.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
• Follow the manager’s instructions for daily restaurant operations.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for service in hotels, restaurants or catering venues.
• Read and understand menus to present them professionally to guests.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 months experience in a restaurant or hotel with a hospitality qualification, OR 2 years experience with a non‑hospitality qualification.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Immaculate personal grooming and presentation.
• Positive attitude, enthusiastic personality and a friendly smile.
• Team player who works well with colleagues.
