Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Full‑time Leadership Role

About the role

The Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK) seeks a visionary and results‑oriented Chief Executive Officer to lead its Secretariat in Nairobi. The CEO will drive the Society’s strategic agenda, support governance structures, and champion the pharmacy profession across Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and ensure implementation of PSK’s Strategic Plan, Annual Work Plans, and NEC decisions.
• Serve as Secretary to the National Executive Committee and National Governing Council, coordinating resolutions and reporting.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Secretariat, ensuring operational excellence and professional service delivery.
• Develop and manage institutional systems for planning, performance management, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Lead policy development, advocacy, research, and stakeholder engagement to advance pharmacy interests.
• Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, regulatory agencies, development partners, academia, and international organisations.
• Drive resource mobilisation, including fundraising, grant management, and sustainable income generation.
• Ensure sound financial management, prudent resource utilisation, and compliance with statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Suitable qualifications with extensive senior leadership experience.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
• Strong governance and policy‑advocacy background.
• Demonstrated success in resource mobilisation and partnership building.
