Civil / Structural BIM Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Civil/Structural BIM Engineer to join Tatu City’s digital engineering team. The role will focus on creating, managing and coordinating intelligent 3D structural models that support the delivery of large‑scale mixed‑use projects in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for structural components (concrete, steel, foundations) using Autodesk Revit.
• Ensure models comply with project‑specific BIM Execution Plans and company standards.
• Integrate structural models with architectural and MEP models within a common data environment.
• Run regular clash detection using Navisworks, document issues and work with design teams to resolve conflicts.
• Lead interdisciplinary BIM coordination meetings and present clash reports.
• Create construction documents, schedules and detail drawings directly from the BIM model.
• Maintain version control and update models throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Technically proficient and detail‑oriented civil/structural engineer.
• Strong understanding of BIM workflows and ability to translate engineering designs into data‑rich models.
• Excellent collaboration skills with architects, MEP engineers and construction teams.

Required skills

• Autodesk Revit (structural modeling, parametric families).
• Autodesk Navisworks (clash detection and coordination).
• Experience with BIM Execution Plans and common data environments.
• Version control and model management.
