Clerical Officer II (IPOA)

About the role

The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), which provides civilian oversight of the police under the IPOA Act, is recruiting a Clerical Officer II (Grade IPOA 12) within its Human Resource and Administration Directorate, Administration department. The post is based at regional or county offices and reports to the Senior Assistant Director, Administration or the Assistant Director, Regional Coordination. The officer provides general clerical services across the directorates and departments.

Key responsibilities

• Compile statistical records accurately
• Process data and information in the area of deployment
• Maintain an efficient filing system
• Keep files, materials and records safely in custody
• Collect and collate data to support reporting
• Implement risk mitigation measures
• Develop and implement individual work plans

Required profile

• KCSE mean grade of C- (minus) or equivalent qualification
• Pass in the proficiency examination for Clerical Officers
• Proficiency in computer applications
