Compliance & Credentialing Specialist – Healthcare

About the role

We are looking for a Compliance & Credentialing Specialist to join our healthcare staffing team. The role will work closely with a U.S.-based client, acting as an extension of their internal compliance and credentialing function to ensure that acute‑care clinicians are screened, credentialed, and onboarded according to client standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end credentialing and compliance processes for RNs, LPNs/LVNs, allied health professionals, and other clinical staff.
• Review, track, and verify documentation such as licenses, certifications, immunization records, background checks, drug screens, skills checklists, references, and onboarding forms.
• Maintain accurate candidate files, ensure completeness before submission, and monitor expiring credentials for timely renewal.
• Support clinicians placed in hospitals and health systems by tracking facility‑specific compliance requirements and preventing onboarding delays.
• Identify and resolve missing, expired, or inconsistent documents through proactive candidate outreach and internal coordination.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, communicating outstanding items, deadlines, and next steps.
• Collaborate with recruiters, onboarding teams, account managers, and client stakeholders to ensure smooth hand‑offs.

Required profile

• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and process‑driven.
• Strong understanding of credentialing workflows for acute‑care clinicians.
• Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and follow up proactively.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with candidates and internal stakeholders.
