Corporate Sales Executive

About the role

The Corporate Sales Executive will drive growth of Britam's general insurance portfolio, meeting annual premium targets through direct sales and managing intermediary channels. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the role focuses on acquiring new business, retaining existing clients, and ensuring high‑level service across the market.

Key responsibilities

• Secure new general insurance (GI) business through intermediaries and direct sales.
• Retain existing GI accounts in line with set objectives.
• Provide excellent customer service to both intermediaries and end‑clients, handling enquiries and complaints.
• Follow up on renewals, premium collections, and commission/claims issues.
• Prepare and submit weekly/daily performance reports.
• Undertake initial underwriting according to guidelines to ensure sound risk acceptance.
• Recruit, train, and motivate intermediaries, delivering product training and incentive schemes.
• Develop strategic partnerships and share market intelligence with supervisors.
• Collaborate with underwriters, branch managers, and other business lines to achieve targets.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
• Progress towards professional insurance qualifications (e.g., DIP ACII, DIP IIK, ACII, IIK).
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry.
