About the role
Jawabu Biashara is seeking a motivated Credit Officer to drive the marketing, promotion and sale of credit solutions in the Mt Kenya region. You will be responsible for acquiring new customers, conducting loan appraisals and ensuring a high‑quality loan portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Market, promote and sell credit products to micro‑businesses.
- Recruit customers and perform thorough loan appraisals.
- Monitor loan repayments, follow‑up with borrowers and maintain portfolio quality.
- Manage risk effectively while achieving high customer retention.
- Prepare and submit monthly performance reports.
Required profile
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Management, Banking, Co‑operative Management, Entrepreneurship or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in micro‑business or logbook lending.
- Proven experience in sales, marketing and portfolio management.
- Strong communication and customer handling abilities.
- High degree of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
Required skills
- Computer literacy.
