Customer Champion – Service Station

About the role

The Customer Champion will serve customers at a fuel service station, dispensing fuel, handling payments and providing courteous assistance. This entry‑level, on‑site role requires basic numeracy and strong communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to customers promptly and courteously.
• Dispense fuel accurately and safely into customers’ vehicles.
• Receive and process cash, card and other approved payments accurately.
• Issue receipts and maintain accurate records of sales and fuel transactions.
• Check and report fuel levels and any pump or equipment issues.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Assist customers with basic service‑station needs and provide excellent service.
• Report discrepancies, shortages, incidents or unusual activities to the supervisor.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Required profile

• Minimum KCSE qualification.
• Previous experience as a pump attendant, petrol‑station attendant, cashier or in a customer‑service role (advantageous).
• Good communication and customer‑service skills.
• Basic numeracy and ability to handle cash accurately.
• Honest, responsible and attentive to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Team‑player attitude.
