Customer Growth Associate (Technical)

About the role

TamuPOS is a US‑based SaaS platform for restaurants and cafés in Kenya. As the first on‑the‑ground hire in Nairobi, you will be the face of the company, driving growth by acquiring merchants, onboarding them, and ensuring they succeed with the product.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and close new restaurant and café merchants across Nairobi; run demos and manage the sales pipeline.
• Configure accounts, set up menus, integrate payments, and train staff during client onboarding.
• Provide first‑line support via WhatsApp, phone, and email, responding to critical issues within 2 hours.
• Test the product, document bugs, and collaborate with the development team for resolutions.
• Visit client sites to install and maintain hardware such as tablets and stands.

Required profile

• Self‑starter generalist who takes initiative without waiting for direction.
• Detail‑oriented with a quality‑assurance mindset.
• Confident communicator who can build trust with merchants and close deals.
• Technically curious and comfortable learning new tools quickly.
• Based in Nairobi and able to work on‑site across the city.
