Data Scientist (6-month contract)

About the role

Invent Consulting Ltd is a software development company offering enterprise software solutions, CRM solutions, Business Intelligence solutions and custom web and mobile solutions that help organizations operate efficiently, profitably and productively. We are seeking a talented Data Scientist for a 6‑month contract that may be renewed based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.
• Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
• Perform exploratory data analysis.
• Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• 2+ years of coding experience in PHP, Java, Python or C#.
• Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Python, R, and Scala.
• Experience working with Jupyter Notebooks.
• Strong mathematics skills (e.g., statistics, algebra).
• Experience with machine learning and AI.
• Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate across the team to build solid and clean code and close projects in a timely manner.
