Director, Franchise Operations – Mid Africa

About the role

The Director, Franchise Operations will act as the end‑to‑end orchestrator for the franchise team across Mid‑Africa, partnering closely with bottling partners and senior leadership. This senior role ensures alignment of commercial, marketing, finance, supply chain and insights functions to drive consistent market results.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior thought leadership to bottlers, shaping agendas that balance short‑term execution with long‑term growth.
• Lead joint performance routines covering revenue, volume, share, distribution and asset productivity, and drive corrective action plans.
• Integrate Commercial, Marketing, RGM, Finance, Supply and Insights to ensure cohesive planning and execution.
• Identify inter‑dependencies, risks and trade‑offs across initiatives and proactively resolve them.
• Orchestrate cross‑functional operating and budget agendas, aligning investments with priorities.
• Own franchise‑level direct marketing investment effectiveness and translate insights into actions.
• Maintain disciplined operating rhythms, governance forums and escalation mechanisms.
• Drive outcome‑focused sprints on pricing compliance, in‑store visibility, cooler placement and outlet expansion.
• Co‑lead route‑to‑market improvements and pilots with bottlers, scaling proven models.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in franchise or bottling operations within a consumer‑goods environment.
• Strong track record of cross‑functional collaboration and matrixed influence.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy and data into actionable market plans.
• Excellent analytical, budgeting and performance‑management skills.
• Experience managing large‑scale commercial agendas and delivering measurable results.
