Director of Sales & Marketing

About the role

Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands is looking for a senior commercial leader to drive the hotel’s sales and marketing performance across Kenya, Africa and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated annual sales and marketing strategy aligned with the hotel’s business plan and Hyatt brand standards.
• Lead commercial agenda across corporate, MICE, government, diplomatic, NGO, travel trade and international segments, identifying new revenue opportunities and emerging demand.
• Drive revenue growth, market share and account production by acquiring, retaining and developing high‑value accounts and strategic partnerships.
• Oversee marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with global brand positioning while tailoring campaigns to Kenyan and African markets.
• Manage the sales and marketing budget, commercial forecasts and analytics, partnering with revenue management to optimise pricing and distribution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field.
• 8+ years progressive commercial experience in hospitality, including at least 3 years in a senior sales or sales & marketing director role within an international hotel brand.
• Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and market share improvement in competitive hotel environments.
• Deep knowledge of the Kenyan hospitality market and exposure to African and international markets, with an established network across corporate, MICE, diplomatic and travel‑trade segments.
