Director, Third Party Intelligence & Incident Investigations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced cyber security leader to join Standard Chartered’s Information & Cyber Security function as Director, Third Party Intelligence & Incident Investigations. The role will be based in either the United Kingdom or Singapore and will lead a specialist team responsible for detecting, analysing and investigating cyber incidents affecting the bank’s third‑party ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mature the bank’s third‑party incident investigations and intelligence programme, aligning with overall cyber security strategy.
• Oversee detection, triage, investigation, classification, escalation and reporting of suspected cyber incidents involving suppliers, clients and other external partners.
• Define investigation standards, evidence requirements, quality‑assurance processes and documentation practices.
• Analyse cyber threat intelligence, indicators of compromise and threat‑actor activity to assess exposure to the bank’s data, services and critical dependencies.
• Translate technical findings into clear business, operational, client and regulatory risk insights for senior stakeholders.
• Manage a team of four direct reports and collaborate with broader security and risk functions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 5 years of experience in cyber security, incident response or threat intelligence.
• Proven ability to lead high‑visibility investigations and influence senior leadership.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical information to non‑technical audiences.
• Experience working within the banking or financial services sector is preferred.
