Driver – Transportation & Logistics Support

About the role

The Driver will provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services to support Living Goods' programs and operations across multiple regions in Kenya. This position ensures compliance with transport policies, donor requirements, and road safety regulations while assisting with basic administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned organization vehicles in line with national traffic laws and internal transport policies.
• Transport staff, visitors, consultants, and materials to field locations, partner sites, and official engagements.
• Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, report defects, and coordinate servicing and maintenance.
• Monitor fuel usage, maintain accurate vehicle logbooks (mileage, fuel consumption, trips, destinations), and submit monthly vehicle reports.
• Report road accidents, incidents, near‑misses, or mechanical issues promptly to management.
• Support basic administrative duties such as photocopying, filing, scanning, and document deliveries.

• Ability to operate vehicles safely using defensive driving techniques and high situational awareness.
• Commitment to adhering to journey‑management protocols and duty‑of‑care principles.
• Attention to detail for vehicle inspections, logbook maintenance, and reporting requirements.
• Willingness to assist with routine administrative tasks as needed.
