Duty Manager – Hotel Operations Lead

About the role

Our client, a reputable hotel, is looking for a proactive and guest‑focused Duty Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional service standards. You will act as the key decision‑maker on duty, coordinating departments and handling guest issues in the absence of senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all hotel departments to guarantee smooth, efficient service delivery.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for guest complaints, requests, and emergencies.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, identify service gaps, and implement improvements.
• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, and brand standards.
• Support Front Office with check‑ins, check‑outs, VIP arrivals, and special requests.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health, safety, and security regulations.
• Review daily reports on occupancy, revenue, feedback, and incidents.
• Assist in staff supervision, shift coordination, and performance monitoring.
• Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and guest‑centric service.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of hotel operations experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or Duty Manager role.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• High integrity, professionalism, and passion for hospitality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Property Management Systems.
