Education Counselor & Student Recruitment Executive

About the role

IWISE Education is expanding into Kenya and needs a driven professional to build our student recruitment pipeline from the ground up in Mombasa. You will combine student counseling with market development to connect Kenyan learners with Southeast Asian and Australian study pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end counseling for students interested in Southeast Asian and Australian programs, matching academic profiles to suitable universities.
• Visit schools and colleges in the Mombasa region, delivering seminars, info sessions and representing IWISE at education fairs.
• Generate high‑quality leads, manage follow‑ups, and drive conversions through disciplined pipeline tracking (CRM or structured system).
• Develop and nurture referral partnerships with local academies, agents and educational institutions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of visa processes, admission requirements and program offerings for SEA destinations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in education consultancy or student recruitment with a proven conversion record.
• Strong communication, negotiation and closing abilities.
• Ability to work independently in field‑based roles and travel within the coastal region.
• Experience with SEA country pathways (Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, etc.) is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• CRM (experience with any customer‑relationship‑management system for pipeline management).
