Facilities Executive

About the role

The Facilities Executive will oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Nairobi site, ensuring that all buildings and services are safe, functional and compliant. You will coordinate maintenance, manage third‑party service providers and drive continuous improvement across the facilities function.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily facility operations, including building services, cleaning, security, pest control and landscaping.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance to minimise disruption and track user complaints.
• Monitor outsourced service levels, produce weekly KPI reports and conduct Gemba walks.
• Lead contractor performance management, enforce SLAs and support procurement activities.
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards, conduct safety audits and support incident investigations.
• Control OPEX, identify cost‑saving initiatives and support CAPEX planning for upgrades.
• Maintain an accurate asset register and oversee preventive maintenance programmes.

Required profile

• STEM‑related degree (Engineering, Facilities Management, Spatial Planning).
• Experience in facilities or operations management and managing contractors.
• Strong understanding of EHS regulations and safety compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Integrated Work Systems (IWS) methodology.
• Experience with contractor and vendor management.
• Proficiency in EHS compliance and regulatory requirements.
