Fashion Designer

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Fashion Designer in Kilimani. The designer works with clients to turn their ideas into complete designs, advises on materials and works closely with tailors and production teams to deliver well-fitted, high-quality garments.

Key responsibilities

• Meet clients to understand their design needs and translate them into clear design concepts
• Develop detailed sketches, illustrations and digital designs aligned with customer requirements
• Advise clients on styles, fabrics, colours and finishes
• Research markets and trends regularly to keep designs current and competitive
• Source and select fabrics, trims and materials according to design, quality and budget
• Prepare design specifications, including measurements, patterns and production notes for tailors
• Work with tailors and production teams, supervise fittings and make adjustments for perfect fit and finish
• Check finished garments for quality and maintain records of client designs and production details
• Manage several design orders at once while meeting deadlines, and provide follow-up and after-sales support
• Suggest improvements to design processes, materials and production efficiency, and keep brand style consistent

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a busy fashion design company
• Excellent creativity and strong technical design skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
