Field Based Account Manager – Lubricants

About the role
The Field Based Account Manager will drive sales of lubricants and related products across an assigned customer base in Kenya. You will be responsible for achieving financial, volume and market‑share targets while building strong, long‑term relationships with distributors and their end‑customers.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver financial (margin, EBITDA) and non‑financial (volume) targets through disciplined execution of functional plans.
- Develop and implement lubricants business plans, route‑to‑market strategies and marketing promotions in collaboration with the Marketing team.
- Manage a portfolio of distributors, providing forecasts, business plans and regular performance audits.
- Identify and pursue cross‑selling and trade‑up opportunities to increase profitability for both distributors and Vivo Energy Kenya.
- Ensure compliance with HSSE policies and conduct regular distributor audits.
Required profile
- Minimum NQF Level 7 – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering.
- 3+ years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in FMCG or lubricant distribution.
- Proven selling, negotiation and customer‑relationship management skills.
- Ability to develop business plans, set clear targets and monitor results.
