Field Service Engineer

About the role

Tunstall is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver high‑quality repair and maintenance for a range of health‑care and third‑party products. The role is remote, covering the Newark, Lincoln, Mansfield and Worksop area, and involves visiting customers’ homes to service equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repair, testing and preventive maintenance on emergency lights, fire systems and other electrical/electronic devices.
• Diagnose faults, replace components and ensure equipment complies with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation.
• Communicate clearly with vulnerable and elderly customers, providing professional support.
• Travel safely to customer sites, working at heights or in confined spaces as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a field engineer or in a similar technical role.
• Electrical/Electronic qualification at NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• Full Category B UK driving licence (manual).
• Comfortable working at heights and in dusty, confined environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Electrical/Electronic troubleshooting and testing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
• Use of diagnostic and testing equipment.
• Basic IT proficiency for service reporting.
