Field Service Engineer – Mechatronics (High‑Speed Rotary Labeling)

About the role

Sidel is seeking a self‑motivated Field Service Engineer with a strong background in mechatronics to support its high‑speed rotary labeling machines worldwide. The role involves installing, commissioning, and testing equipment at customer sites while providing expert technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, start‑up, commissioning and functional testing of Sidel labeling equipment at domestic and international customer locations.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on‑site, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to internal teams and customers.
• Travel up to 90% of the time, including long‑haul international trips.
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of field service experience with high‑speed rotary labeling machines.
• Graduate degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
• Experience in the beverage industry is a plus.

Required skills

• High‑speed rotary labeling machine technology.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, B&R, ELAU).
• Diagnosing and fixing both hardware and software problems.
• Knowledge of cold glue, PSL and hot‑melt adhesive systems.
• Strong reporting and communication abilities.
