Field Service Engineer – Rotary Blowing Machine (Mechanical/Mechatronic)

About the role

Sidel is seeking a self‑motivated Field Service Engineer with a strong mechanical, mechatronic or electromechanical background to support high‑speed rotary blowing machine technology at customer sites in Kenya and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Install, qualify, commission and test Sidel equipment on‑site, ensuring compliance with technical, contractual and safety specifications.
• Operate mechanical systems and HMI interfaces, perform troubleshooting and follow standard operating procedures.
• Execute electrical tasks such as cable wiring and handle equipment non‑conformities.
• Prepare detailed job progress and technical reports, and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify after‑sales opportunities and coach junior colleagues on technical and reporting activities.
• Report to the Installation Site Manager and adhere to Sidel’s HSE coordination plan.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of field service experience with high‑speed blowing machines.
• Graduate degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel up to 90 % domestically and internationally.
• Experience in beverage can or glass packaging is a plus.
