About the role
The Finance Assistant will support the East and Southern Africa Regional Office (ESARO) in Nairobi, ensuring the integrity of finance systems, timely financial reporting, cash‑flow management, payroll administration and smooth operation of the finance department.
Key responsibilities
- Perform invoice reconciliation, checking completeness, accuracy and correct budget codes.
- Prepare payment runs in TM5, obtain bank signatory approvals and upload bank payment files, including payroll.
- Provide payment support for procurement of medical supplies and review purchase packs for completeness.
- Post vouchers for medical supplies purchases and post bank entries.
- Process travel advances, TER reports and hosting fee charges for staff.
- Assist with inductions, audit preparation, documentation tracing and internal control checks.
Required profile
- Experience in finance or accounting, preferably within treasury or accounts‑payable functions.
- Familiarity with cash‑flow management, payroll administration and financial reporting.
- Ability to work accurately with invoices, vouchers and bank transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining internal controls.
