Finance Assistant

About the role

FreshCrop Limited is seeking a Finance Assistant to support its financial operations in Nakuru. The role involves processing transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process receipts, payments, journals, invoices, credit notes and other financial transactions accurately and on time.
• Prepare bank, petty cash, mobile money, supplier, customer and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, supporting documents, and financial files in both soft and hard copy.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities, financial schedules, audits and statutory compliance.
• Support inventory, procurement, payroll and operational finance transactions by verifying supporting documentation.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables, following up on variances and overdue balances.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely submission and verification of financial information.
• Recommend improvements to financial processes, internal controls and record management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 1 month of relevant experience (junior level).
