Finance Intern – 3-Month Internship in Nairobi

About the role

The Finance Intern will support the accounts payable function and general administration of a multinational logistics company. This three‑month, full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in finance operations, reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase orders, capture and match invoices, post payments and reconcile supplier statements.
• Assist with statutory compliance, bank reconciliations, client billing, invoicing and support internal/external audits.
• Follow finance and general SOPs, manage office consumables and ensure quality administration.
• Participate in the implementation of departmental and site Environmental Management System objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Administration or Business Management.
• Preferably a semi‑qualified accountant (CPA‑K or ACCA).
• Prior experience in a freight forwarding or logistics environment is an advantage.
• Good IT and Excel skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and time‑management abilities; initiative‑driven and customer‑oriented.
