Finance Manager (Hospital)

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the financial function of a hospital, ensuring accurate reporting, effective budgeting and robust cash management to support the organization’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and Kenya Accounting Standards.
• Analyse financial performance, highlight variances and recommend cost‑saving or revenue‑enhancing actions.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor departmental budgets throughout the year.
• Conduct financial forecasting and adjust plans based on operational changes.
• Manage cash flow, accounts receivable and payable to maintain sufficient liquidity.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax) and oversee tax filing.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation.
• Implement and monitor internal financial controls to mitigate risk.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 8 years of finance experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Proven ability to produce accurate financial reports and drive budgeting processes.
• Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and IFRS.
