Finance Manager – NGO Consortium

About the role

The Finance Manager will provide strategic leadership for financial systems, grants management and compliance across the Angaza consortium. Based in Nairobi, the role ensures alignment with donor requirements, Kenyan regulations and international best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and harmonise consortium‑wide financial systems, SOPs and internal controls.
• Lead donor budget monitoring, expenditure analysis, forecasting and burn‑rate tracking.
• Coordinate audit preparation, donor and statutory audits, and financial due‑diligence for partners.
• Provide strategic financial guidance, cash‑flow management and sustainability planning to consortium leadership.
• Build capacity of partner finance teams through trainings on compliance, budgeting and reporting.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; CPA(K) certification required; Master’s degree desirable.
• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in financial management of large donor‑funded programmes.
• At least 5 years managing multi‑partner consortium finances and grants.
• Strong leadership, analytical and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• High proficiency with ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced financial reporting tools.
• CPA(K) professional accounting certification.
