Finance Manager – Real Estate & Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to head the financial function of our real‑estate and construction operations in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting, cash‑flow management, tax planning and delivering strategic financial insights to drive business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial management activities, including accounting, cash‑flow, tax planning and financial analysis.
• Develop and improve financial management systems and internal control frameworks to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
• Prepare annual budgets and cash‑flow forecasts, monitor execution and conduct variance analysis.
• Manage company cash‑flow efficiently and optimise fund utilisation.
• Handle tax filing and planning in line with Kenyan tax regulations.
• Review and ensure accuracy, completeness and reliability of all financial reports.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks and government authorities.
• Provide financial insights and advice to support business decision‑making.
• Lead, manage and develop the finance team to enhance overall performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Demonstrated experience in the real‑estate or construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and tax planning.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent (preferred).
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and strong professional ethics.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with financial software.
