Fire Technician – Installation & Maintenance

About the role

Optimum Partnerships Africa is looking for a qualified Fire Technician to join its technical team. The role involves installing, testing, commissioning, maintaining and troubleshooting fire detection and suppression systems to meet client requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain fire detection and alarm systems.
• Inspect, service and maintain fire suppression systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in fire safety equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Perform system testing and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Provide technical support and recommendations to clients.
• Adhere to health, safety and quality standards at all times.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Fire Technician.
• Proven experience with both fire detection and fire suppression systems.
• Valid Police Clearance (CRB) and HELB Clearance.
